Our Story

The London Food Company: A Tale of Culinary Innovation

Our Founder & Managing Director, Miss Alaisha Kaishyap a determined student at Brunel University London, faced the harsh realities of life in the UK when she moved from India(Mumbai) for her master’s studies. Used to the convenience of house helps, she found herself overwhelmed by the demands of cooking, cleaning, studying, and juggling part-time jobs.

Yearning for a service that could deliver home-cooked, hygienic meals to her doorstep, she saw a gap in the London food sector. There was no dedicated tiffin brand for Students & Working Professionals, leaving them without a reliable companion in their challenging student journey. When her friends, on placement years, requested her to make tiffins for their office lunches, Alaisha happily obliged. Their colleagues’ appreciation soon turned into requests, and Alaisha recognized a business opportunity.

Thus, The London Food Company was born.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to provide University students and busy professionals with delectable, nutritious, and affordable meals, ensuring no one would struggle as she once did. Drawing from her roots in Mumbai, Alaisha was determined to recreate the Bambaiyan taste and introduce people from different cultures to the vibrant flavors of Bombay street food. As a result, the tiffins at TLFC are never boring—the menu is crafted with meticulous detail, ensuring variety and excitement in every meal. Today, The London Food Company stands as a testament to Alaisha’s vision, bridging the culinary gap and transforming the student experience in London
